(LINTON) - A person is on jail following a pursuit in Linton on Wednesday night.
Linton Police Chief Troy Jerrell says details are minimal at this time because the incident is still under investigation.
According to Chief Jerrell, an officer attempted to stop the driver after a traffic violation. The driver fled north on Fifth Street Northwest onto County Road 1225 West. The driver wrecked at the intersection of County Road 1225 West and County Road 400 North.
The driver exited the vehicle and then took off on foot.
"The suspect was apprehended and is now in custody," Jerrell says. "The important thing is everybody is okay."
Jerrell says more information will be available at a later time.
