(MITCHELL) - Two men were injured after the vehicle they were in left the roadway and struck trees at U.S. 50 and Wesley Chaple Road Monday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 39-year-old Jeremy Stratton of Bloomington was traveling east on U.S. 50 when the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving veered off the right side of the road, traveled down an embankment and struck two trees.
Stratton told police he could not remember what happened to cause him to crash.
Witnesses at the scene told police Stratton was speeding up and slowing down and weaving all over the roadway before the accident.
Police requested that Stratton submit a blood-alcohol test and he refused. Police then secured a warrant for the blood draw and those test results are pending.
Stratton suffered minor bleeding to his face. His passenger, 27-year-old Adam Martin of Indianapolis, had minor bleeding from bodily injuries.
