(BEDFORD) - Officials say this year’s White River Humane Society Bone Appetit Saturday raised $30,000, a big jump from last year’s figure of $21,000.
During the auction some of the top-selling items included a $500 gift card for Tractor Supply Co. that sold for more than $700 and a deluxe cat tower that sold for $700.
Another bidder purchased two six months' supply of high quality dog food, valued at more than $400 and donated it to the shelter to feed the animals.
Those attending could also purchase sponsorships and a participate in a 50/50 raffle. The winner, Chris Woods, donated his winnings - $600 - back to the shelter.
