(MITCHELL) - A Bedford man was injured after a deer darted in front of his moped on Yockey Road early Thursday morning.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 21-year-old Evan Lindsey of Bedford suffered bleeding and cuts to his head, face, arm and chest.
Lindsey was able to go to a nearby home and request help. The resident then called police.
He told police he was having some trouble remembering what happened.
Police say Lindsey was traveling east on Yockey Road when a deer ran into the roadway into the path of his 2015 MOTIF Power Rough House moped.
A Seals ambulance and Marion Volunteer Fire Department responded.
Lindsey was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.
