(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was injured after his pickup truck rolled on Ind. 158 Saturday morning.
According to a Bedford Police report, 33-year-old Dalis Johnson of Bedford was late for work and was headed west on Ind. 158, just east Of Lavender Lane when he lost control of his 2006 GM Canyon pickup truck in the curve on the wet roadways.
Johnson told police he was "hurrying a bit" because he was late for work.
Police say as Johnson entered the curve he started to slid and tried to correct, but over-steered and "went too far." The truck went left of center and then off the left side of the road and struck an embankment and rolled onto the passenger side. The truck stopped facing west, northwest.
Johnson was out of the truck when emergency crews arrived and was walking around the scene. He told police he was dizzy and from hitting his head on the windshield. He was not wearing a seat belt during the incident. Johnson refused to go to the hospital by ambulance but a family member was coming to the scene to pick him up. Johnson told police they would take him to the hospital if he decided to go.
