(BROWN CO.) - A Brown County woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after a pursuit that went through Johnson and Brown counties and lasted about an hour.
Police arrested 47-year-old Lona Albertson on charges of resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness and she was wanted on a warrant after se failed to appear at a April 7 traffic court hearing in Brown County for driving without insurance. She was taken to the Johnson County Jail where she is being held without bond.
According to police the pursuit began on Interstate 65 near Whiteland around midnight. It went through Edinburgh and into the Peoga area on "numerous county roads in northern Brown County" and eventually came back into Johnson County.
Deputies from both Johnson County and Brown County Sheriff's Department were involved.
Deputies used stop sticks to deflate the tires of the vehicle, which went off the road and stopped on County Road 250 West, just north of the Johnson County line.
A Johnson County sheriff's vehicle was damaged in the pursuit.
