Former Linton Man Charged With Five Counts Of Voyeurism

Last updated on Monday, May 16, 2016

(TERRE HAUTE) - A former Linton man was charged in Vigo County following allegations related to recording videos in a locker room.

The Tribune Star reports 23-year-old Nick Pledger, an Indiana State University student who allegedly placed a "spy camera" in a women's locker room and then posted videos online, has been charged with five counts of voyeurism

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by ISU Assistant Police Chief Michele Barrett, Pledger is a suspect in incidents that began in 2015. A tip was submitted to ISUPD indicating that videos of the women's volleyball team locker room had been uploaded and shared, as well as video recording up women's skirts and in an office space with women present.

Barrett said that the video was located online, and she was able to identify the locker room, areas of the student recreation center swimming pool and hot tub areas, walkways through campus, the technology building, and a science building classroom from the videos.

Through interviews with university staff, Barrett reported, she was able to identify Pledger as a person common to the videos. Footage from an ISU security camera also showed a man resembling Pledger closely following a woman who appeared in a video posted online.

ISU Police went to Pledger's home and interviewed Pledger and his wife, who was a former ISU volleyball player. Pledger's wife told investigators she had given her husband the code to the lock room door on one occasion.
