(PATOKA) - National Kids to Parks Day, join the naturalists for a Kids’ Walking Stick Workshop at Patoka Lake Nature Center on Saturday, May 21 at 12:30 p.m.
Participants will design and decorate their very own walking stick.
Then at 1:30 p.m. a short guided hike will start along the Garden Rock Loop Trail through oak and hickory forests, rock outcroppings and over small creek beds.
The cost for this program is $5 per walking stick. All supplies will be provided.
The entrance fee of $7 per vehicle for Indiana residents ($9 out of state) is required for the Newton Stewart State Recreation Area, Patoka Lake, located north of Wickliffe Indiana, Highway 164.
