(PAOLI) - Paoli Police arrested several Lawrence County residents after they stopped a vehicle they were in and found drugs.
On May 9, at approximately 7:23 p.m. police conducted a traffic stop on South East Main Street when the driver of a passenger car failed to yield the right of way.
During contact with the five occupants in the vehicle police discovered two had active protection order issued between them.
The officer also noticed that occupants seemed very nervous and none could tell police where they were traveling to.
Police received permission to search the vehicle and found several syringes, along with digital scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Police then found a sixth person hiding in the trunk under a pile of clothing.
All six were arrested.
Once at the Orange County Jail the officer located syringes and narcotic drugs in the police car.
