(BLOOMINGTON) - A Springville woman was arrested after she admitted to fondling and kissing a 15-year-old girl in Lower Cascades Park Sunday evening.
According to Bloomington Police Capt. Steve Kellams, officers were called to the park after a concerned citizen reported seeing two people having sexual relations in a gold and green van.
Officers located the van at 7:40 pm. at North Kinser Pike and West Winding Way and stopped the vehicle.
The driver , 41-year-old Alma J. Rice, of Springville, told the police the 15-year-old female passenger was the daughter of a friend.
Asked what the two had been doing at the park, Kellams says Rice admitted to fondling and kissing the girl.
Rice was arrested on a preliminary felony charge of sexual misconduct with a minor and taken to the Monroe County Jail where she is being held without bond.
The Department of Child Services was contacted and teenager was released to the custody of her parents.
