(LINTON) - A woman and her four-year-old son were struck by a vehicle on Friday as they walked near 12th Street Southeast in Linton.
Linton Police Chief Troy Jerrell says the driver, Elizabeth Park, reported the sun was in her eyes, causing her to hit the pedestrians.
Parks told police she was going down the road and the sun was in her eyes and she couldn't see. She then heard a yell and a thump and stopped the car realizing she had hit someone.
The woman and her child were transported to Greene County General Hospital.
On Saturday evening, Chief Jerrell said the incident is under investigation, and no other information was available.
