(BEDFORD) - Architects have finalized plans for the former JCPenney building which will become StoneGate Arts and Education Center.
The Times Mail reports that Mayor Shawna Girgis requested the Board of Works to approve a change in the contract with Christine Matheu Architect of Bloomington to accommodate a design change.
She told the board the architect would like to add a clear story to the top of the building at the corner of 15th and J streets to add height to the second story and improve the building's street appeal. The cost will be about $100,000.
