(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was carjacked after he stopped to give two people a ride Monday night.
According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider, police are searching for two suspects and the gold 2000 Audi A4 passenger car they stole.
The 22-year-old man told police he had been waiting in his parked car for a friend Monday night in the 900 block of West 17th Street when a woman approached his car and asked for a ride. The man agreed to give the woman and another man a ride. As they left the parking lot the man pulled a knife and forced him to drive to the western part of Monroe County.
The man told police that the man with the knife ordered him to pull over. The man fled from the car and the suspects drove away in the car.
Police are looking for a white woman in her 40s or 50s, medium build and around 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with dark-colored shoulder length hair. The woman was wearing a gray or white tank top and white shorts with black strips.
The male suspect is a black man, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, in his mid-20s with a buzz cut or a short haircut. He was wearing a yellow shirt and yellow pants.
