(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are investigating a robbery at Marsh Supermarket on Kingston Drive.
According to police they believe the suspect is a woman.
Police were called to the store at 3:45 a.m. Friday morning.
A Marsh employee told police that a woman wearing a blue sweatshirt, black sweatpants and a black scarf over her face carrying a cardboard sign saying she was homeless demanded the employee give her money from the register.
While no weapon was displayed, the employee told police he believed she was carrying a gun under her sweatshirt.
The woman left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
This is the second robbery involving a female suspect within a week.
The first happened on Monday at the Circle S located on College Mall Road at approximately 1:40 a.m.
In that robbery a woman wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt also entered the store and demanded money from the register.
While no weapon was displayed during that robbery, the clerk told police he saw something poking out of the woman's sweatshirt.
