(ELLETTSVILLE) - An Ellettsville man was arrested after police say he robbed a man in Flatwoods Park of $50 and his Nike sneakers.
The robbery happened Sunday evening.
The victim told police that three men beat him with their fists and a flashlight and took his money from his pocket and the Nike Jordan's from his feet.
Police say the victim suffered cuts above his left eye and to his left arm.
Police were given the names of the man's attackers and a description of the car they fled in.
Police went to the residence of 19-year-old Tyler Mobley, who told police he had not been in a fight and had never been to Flatwoods Park. But according to police, Mobley was wearing the stolen tennis shoes. Mobley also had scrapes to his arms and hands. He told police he suffered them when he had accidentally struck his bedroom door.
Mobley was was arrested on a felony charge of robbery and was taken to the Monroe County Jail.
