(BLOOMINGTON) - Monroe County Prosecutor Chris Gaal announced his office has hired an additional Adult Protective Services investigator with the new emergency funding from Indiana legislators.
Claudio Perez is a bilingual English-Spanish speaker who most recently worked as a family case manager with the Department of Child Services. He has experience in investigating reports of abuse and neglect in cases involving children -- and can now apply many of the same skills for adults.
He has held positions in the fields of education, social services and serving people with developmental disabilities. He has a master's degree in theological studies from the University of Notre Dame, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Miami.
The Adult Protective Service Unit 10 resides in the Monroe County Prosecutor's Office and serves Monroe, Owen and Morgan counties.
