(BLOOMINGTON) - Motorists traveling on Country Club Drive in Bloomington can expect detours next week.
Toby Turner, project engineer with the Monroe County Highway Department, says a bridge over Clear Creek, just east of the B-Line Trail on West Country Club Drive, is scheduled to close for repairs on Monday and Tuesday.
Barricades will be erected at Country Club Drive, South Rogers and South Walnut Street intersections. Traffic heading east on Country Club Drive can take Rogers Street to Gordon Pike and back to Walnut to avoid construction. Those traveling the opposite direction can do the reverse to continue their commute. Turner said local traffic will have access to the B-Line trailhead coming from the west and to businesses within the area.
The county contracted with CLR Inc. for $20,000 to do the repairs after the bridge was closed for safety reasons.
