(WORTHINGTON) - Free shredding of confidential papers and documents and the collection of old and worn American Flags will be available 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, at the First Financial Worthington Banking Center, 9 N. Commercial St.
First Financial Bank, in partnership with Data Management Shredding, is providing an opportunity for local residents to submit up to five boxes of documents per person for free shredding.
This event is part of a corporate-wide initiative to provide free shredding services to local residents who live near a First Financial banking center.
Shredding is one way to reduce the risk of identity theft. The Federal Trade Commission Consumer Information recommends that you shred receipts, credit offers, credit applications, insurance forms, physician statements, checks, bank statements, expired charge cards, and similar documents when you don't need them any longer.
Old and worn American Flags will be collected by bank personnel to give to the V.F.W. Post 972 for proper disposal.
