(GREENE CO.) - The Greene County Assessor’s Office are alerting taxpayer’s that Form 11, Notice of Assessment will be mailed on Monday, August 1st 2016.
Greene County Assessor Dawn Abrams says if taxpayers do not receive a Form 11 contact the Assessor's Office.
Note that the term "improvements" on the form 11 includes, but is not limited to buildings, structures, fixtures and appurtenances. It represents a value added to the value of the land to equal the property's total market value-in-use. It should not be confused with improvements resulting from routine maintenance to the property.
The deadline to file an appeal for the 2016 payable 2017 assessed values will be Friday, September 16th, 2016. Appeals will not be accepted after the deadline date. Taxpayers will not be able to file when they receive their tax statements in the Spring, the Form 11 serves as the notice of assessment.
