(BEDFORD) - The Limestone Heritage Parade will step off at Noon on Saturday.
The parade traditionally held on the 4th of July, was cancelled due to lightning in the area during the parade lineup and was forecasted for the parade time, so the BRI committee made the decision to cancel the parade.
The parade route and timeline will remain the same, with vendors opening at 10 a.m. on the J Street section of the downtown square. The Flag Raising, National Anthem performance and Grand Marshal Ceremony will take place at 11:15 a.m. at the corner of 16th and I streets.
Should inclement weather occur on Saturday, the parade will not be rescheduled.
Graffiti BBQ and Chili Company will be serving up your choice of beef brisket or pulled pork sandwiches. Busy B'z will be on site with their kettle corn, ice cream and lemon shake ups. Hawaiian Ice will be keeping things cool with many shaved ice flavors to choose from. And the Bedford Farmers Market will have fresh produce and homebacked goods from 8 a.m. till Noon.
