(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell Zoning Board meeting for tonight at 6 p.m. has been cancelled.
According to City of Mitchell Attorney, Byron Steele, there is no variance that can be approved.
The owner of the land is The Church of Jesus Christ who cannot request the variance because it is in violation of Indiana State law to be a church and a funeral home.
J Davis Properties cannot request a variance because it is not the owner of the property. Therefore no statements from the public may be taken due to the lack the ability of granting a variance.
