(MITCHELL) - A Salem woman injured after she lost control of her car on Ind. 60 West Sunday morning.
According to a Lawrence County Police report the accident happened at 11:15 a.m. on Ind. 60 West near Suddarth Lane.
Police say 69-year-old Rhea Hunt was traveling on Ind. 60 West when her 2007 Chevrolet Impala went off the right side of the road. Hunt overcorrected causing the car to slide sideways and go left of center and then off the roadway. The car rolled 9 times before coming to a stop in a cornfield.
Hunt suffered a possible broken shoulder or upper arm and was taken by a Seals ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Assisting at the scene was the Marion Volunteer Fire Department and Bedford Fire Department extrication unit.
