Lawrence County 4-H Fair Kicks Off Friday

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County 4-H Fair kicks off Friday with the crowning of the 2016 fair queen.
Eight young women will be competing for the crown. The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Expo Hall.
The winner will receive a college scholarship and other gifts and will be crowned by 2015 Queen Lauren Mitchell. Finalists and Miss Congeniality will also receive scholarships.
Six girls are participating in the princess portion of the contest. The princess will be crowned by the 2015 Princess Charlie Ann Peters.

Friday, July 15
- 7 pm Queen, Queen Escorts Princes $2 admission kindergarten & up
Saturday, July 16
- 9:30 a.m. - 11 am Food judging, Expo Hall
- 5 am - 12 noon All livestock check in (no arrivals after 12:00)
- 1 pm Flag raising ceremony
- 2 pm Fashion Revue, Expo Hall
- 4 pm 4-H dog obedience
- 4 pm ANTIQUE TRACTOR / TRACTOR PULL adults $8, $5 for ages 7-12, under 6 free
- 6 pm 4-H Horse & Pony Contesting
- 7 pm Lip Sync
Sunday, July 17
- 8 am Church service (Tent)
- 9 am Horse and Pony mini & halter classes
- 1 pm 4-H dog agility
- 5 pm Expo Hall Family Arts open
- 6 pm Horse & Pony Versatility classes
- 7 pm Kiddie & Adult Tractor pull
- 7 pm BROKEN HORN RODEO adults $10, kids 12 and under $5 at Track
- 6 pm Exhibit Hall Awards Ceremony in Park Tent Grand Opening following award ceremony
Monday, July 18
- 9 am 4-H Horse and Pony Western pleasure
- 9 am 4-H Market Beef Show
- Noon Mini Dairy & Dairy Steers
- 4 pm Boer Goats
- 5 pm Expo Hall opens
- 5 pm Family arts open
- 5 pm Midway opens (regular tickets)
- 6 pm Baby Contest park tent (0-4)
- 7 p.m. GO KARTS, $8 adults, $5 ages 7-12, 6 & under free
Tuesday, July 19 - KIDS DAY
- 9 a.m. Horse & Pony English
- 10 am - Games & Bicycle Rodeo
- 11 am - Laser Tag
- Noon Dairy Heifers
- 2 p.m. till 5 pm Midway open, $10.00 bands 12 & under
- 3 pm Pet parade show arena - Kids 2 Grade & under
- 4 pm 4-H Sheep show

- 6 Midway open, Family Night, armbands $15

Friday, July 22

Saturday, July 23
- Carload Night $25 / up to 5 people

- 7 pm Demolition Derby, track - free
- 11 pm All non auction animals released (No early releases)
Gate Fees begin at 4 p.m., parking is $5 per car
Weekly passes are $15
There are no overnight stays on the fairgrounds and no alcohol permitted
