(WASHINGTON) - Daviess Community Hospital has been designated as one of five pilot sites for the state of Indiana for billing reimbursement by athletic trainers.
The program allows the hospital's athletic trainers to bill for their services with insurance carriers.
The insurance companies would then process the claims, and reimburse the hospital directly. If the claim is denied, a state development coordinator would work with the case, and solve any problems that arise.
Indiana, along with Ohio and Wisconsin are the only three states participating at this time.
The program is scheduled to run until October 2017.
