(VANDERBURGH CO.) - A Huntingburg man was killed after a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 41 south of the Vanderburgh County 4-H Fairgrounds Sunday afternoon.
According to Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Department report, officers were called to the intersection of U.S. 41 and E. Hillsdale Road at 4:47 p.m. CST after a report of the crash.
According to police, 19-year-old Bailey Crowell of Evansville, was traveling east on East Hillsdale Road when he drove his 2010 Ford Fusion into the intersection at U.S. 41 and collided with a northbound 2001 Toyota 4Runner driven by 73-year-old Robert Turner of Huntingburg. The force of the collision caused the 4Runner to roll several times before it struck a 2015 Jeep Cherokee driven by 40-year-old John Bringman Jr. of Evansville.
Authorities say Turner died at the scene. Three passengers from the 4Runner and Crowell was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The accident remains under investigation pending a crash reconstruction investigation and toxicology results.
