(BEDFORD) - Two men were injured after the pickup they were in rolled Monday night on Vinegar Hill Road.
According to a Lawrence County police report, officers were called to the accident at 7:10 p.m.
Police say 23-year-old Billy Mills of Bedford was driving his 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck east on Vinegar Hill Road, crested the hill and lost control of the truck. The truck went off the north side of the roadway and struck a hidden drive sign which caused the truck to roll on its top.
Mills was trapped in the truck, but was able to kick out the windshield to get out. His passenger 24-year-old Joshua Todd of Bloomington was able to crawl out the passenger side window.
Mills suffered several cuts from the broken glass and a deep laceration to his left arm near his arm pit that would require stitches. Todd suffered a cut to his elbow and complained of a headache.
Both men refused medical attention at the scene, but said they may seek treatment later.
Police noted on the accident report that the truck had a bald driver's side rear tire.
