Orientation Begins Tuesday For BNL Students

(BEDFORD) - Orientation begins Tuesday for Bedford North Lawrence students and school officials are stressing the imporatnce of participating due to the introduction of new Chromebooks.

The following days and times have been designated for orientation.

Seniors: Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.
Juniors: Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.
Sophomores: Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.
Open: Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.
Freshmen: Aug. 8, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2-3 p.m., 4- 7 p.m., with parent meetings scheduled at 9 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Parents should attend one session.

All orientation sessions will be in the Performing Arts Center, and families should allow an hour for them to complete their orientation process. Parents/guardians and students unable to attend their scheduled session can attend the open session.

The orientation sessions will include distribution of Chromebooks and related information. During orientation, students also will receive their schedules, locker assignments and textbooks, and will pay their fees, have the photo identification taken and receive their parking pass.

Any student new to NLCS should contact the BNL office at (812) 279-9756 to schedule an enrollment appointment beginning today. Incoming freshmen from Bedford Middle School, Oolitic Middle School and Shawswick Middle School are pre-enrolled and should plan to attend one of the Aug. 8 orientation sessions.

The first day of school for North Lawrence students will be August 11.
