(LAKE MONROE) - Indiana conservation officers are investigating the death of a Bloomington woman at the Lake Monroe spillway.
According to Conservation CPl. Angie Goldman, foul play is not suspected in the death of 55-year-old Jenni Niswander.
Family members contacted police after they last heard from her around 8 a.m. and she still wasn't returning their phone calls two hours later.
A family member went to Nisawander's home to check on her and that is when they spotted her vehicle in the parking lot of the spillway at Lake Monroe off Valley Mission Road.
That family member called police.
Officers found Niswander's body at the base of an 80-foot cliff around 2 p.m.
Police are unsure how she got to the top or how she fell.
The case remains under investigation. Assisting in the investigation is the Monroe County Coroner's Office.
