(SPRINGVILLE) - A Springville man was arrested after Lawrence County Police found meth and marijuana at his home on North Pike Road.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham, police went to the home of 53-year-old Michael England in the 800 block of North Pike Road after receiving a 911 call hangup Friday night.
When police arrived around 7 p.m. they talked to both England and his wife.
The wife told police England had come home from work and was "acting strange" and she thought he might be under the influence of drugs.
Police noticed the same strange behavior when they spoke to England.
The woman told police she had found a baggie that contained a white substance and cut straws in the house and took officers to the room where she had found the items.
The substance in the baggie tested positive for meth.
Police also found a smoking pipe with burnt marijuana inside.
Police arrested England. He is being held at the Lawrence County Jail on a $7,500 surety or $755 cash bond.
