(ORLEANS) - The 2016 Orleans Summer Concert in the Park series continues Saturday with a performance by the popular Sweetwater Band.
The free concert will get underway at 7 p.m. in the southwest corner of historic Congress Square. In the event of bad weather may be slightly delayed or moved indoors to nearby Unity Hall, directly behind the Orleans Christian Church.
The band plays a wide variety of cover tunes including: Contemporary-New-Traditional Country; Classic Rock; and Old Time Rock & Roll. Their diversity and passion for music are as deep as their Southern Indiana roots. Their sound is soothing and fun, so the crowd can enjoy the music as well as a conversation with their friends.
The band consists of Bob on Bass, Danny on Drums, Don Clark on Steel Guitar, and John Guillaume on Lead Guitar and Vocals.
The free concerts continue through mid-August and are sponsored by Orange County REMC in partnership with the Orleans Chamber of Commerce and Town of Orleans.
The public is welcome to attend and encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and/or blankets as seating in the park is limited.
Looking Ahead:
Aug. 13 - Darla McFadden - Gospel Night in the Park sponsored in part by the Orleans United Methodist Church Bicentennial Committee.
