(MITCHELL) - A Louisville teen was arrested Sunday after he broke a car window and began punching a woman in the face.
Mitchell police arrested 19-yaer-old Nehemiah Beasley on a charge of battery resulting causing bodily injury.
According to a Lawrence County Superior Court II probable cause affidavit, officers were called to the 600 block of West Warren Street after a report from a woman saying Beasley had hit her.
According to the woman, she was outside of her home with two friends when she saw a group of people in the alley working on a moped. The woman says the group of 15 people began walking toward her and her friends and started to climb over the fence. That is when she and her friends got into her car and locked the doors. She claims Beasley started banging on her car window until it broke and then began punching her in the face and head.
The woman suffered cuts to her right ear, forehead and eyebrow.
Beasley told police he had gotten upset and admitted to hitting the woman.
Beasley was booked into the Lawrence County jail at 5:45 a.m. Monday. As of this morning, he was at the jail with his bond set at $5,000 surety or $505 cash.
