(CLARKSVILLE) - Two Bedford men were arrested after a Clarksville Texas Roadhouse employee found them passed out at their table.
The employee called Clarksville police at 8:45 p.m. Thursday.
Police arrested 30-year-old Derek Boone and 33-year-old Brian Hearn.
When police arrived they found the two men and Boone's 7-year-old daughter and Hearn's 10-year-old son at the table.
Police say the two men could not stand, had slurred speech and could not answer simple questions.
Both men told police they had been working before going to Texas Roadhouse, but then later changed their story saying they had been at Kentucky Kingdom with their children.
Police say Boone had a blood alcohol content level of .07 and told police he had taken some Xanax, which he had a prescription.
Hearn tested negative for consuming alcohol, but told police he had taken some medication. Police found a Suboxne strip in his pocket.
Boone was arrested without incident however Hearn struggled with officers.
Both men are facing charges of neglect of a dependent and public intoxication. Hearn is also charged with resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
Both men were taken to the Clark County jail and were released Sunday after posting bond.
The Department of Child Services was notified and the children were placed in the care of friends and relatives.
