(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured in a crash Friday night on State Road 258 West.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, Andrew Emmons was driving on Ind. 158 over the Salt Creek Bridge when his 1980 Jeep stalled and stopped on the bridge. That is when a 2004 Dodge Ram, driven by 21-year-old Branson Goodman, came around the corner entered the bridge and collided with the stalled Jeep. Goodman said he slammed on his brakes but struck the rear of Emmons' Jeep. The collision caused Emmons' Jeep to move forward, striking the guardrail.
Emmons was not injured during the incident. His passenger, 31-year-old Randi Ball, suffered a leg laceration and was taken to IU Health.
Goodman suffered a cut to his lower lip and was taken to the same hospital.
Assisting at the scene was Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Bedford Fire Department extrication unit.
