(BLOOMINGTON) - The annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, an event to raise awareness of and funds for care, support and research relating to Alzheimer’s disease, will happen Sunday at Bryan Park.
Registration will take place Noon until 1 p.m. at the park's Woodlawn Shelter, with an opening ceremony scheduled for 1:15 p.m.
Nearly 600 people from Monroe and surrounding counties are expected at this year's event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's disease.
Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's participants will complete either a one or three mile walk and will learn about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services from the Alzheimer's Association.
Walk participants will also join in a meaningful tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
