(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly threw a jar of honey and a knife at a woman during a domestic fight early this morning.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called to the home in the 300 block of Windsor Drive early this morning.
When officers arrived at 12:06 a.m. they found the woman standing in the yard.
The woman told police that she and 23-year-old Dossey Lanning had been in an argument when he allegedly threw a jar of honey at her face.
"He told her he intended to break her jaw," Chief Parsley says. "He then allegedly threw a knife at her while she was sitting on the couch."
Police transported Lanning to the police station where he admitted to throwing the items, but told police he never intended to hit the woman with them.
Lanning was arrested on charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon.
