(BEDFORD) - A Bedford teenager was arrested Sunday after he allegedly beat his mother.
Bedford Police arrested 18-year-old Rexton Wardon charges of domestic battery, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Bedford police were called to a home in the 2800 block of Washington Avenue after a report of an intoxicated man and a dispute with a woman.
When police arrived they found a woman standing near a window mouthing the words 'help me.' The woman told police her son had beat her. She suffered bruises to her left shoulder, right knee, but refused to file charges.
That is when Ward came outside swinging a laundry basket and refused to cooperate with police.
Ward was tasered and then went back inside the apartment. Police had to force their way inside and were able to arrest Ward.
He posted a bond of $505 cash Monday and was released.
