(LINTON) - A popular Greene County birdwatching site will have a grand opening for its new visitor center this week.
The 7,000-square-foot office and visitor center at Goose Pond Fish & Wildlife Area near Linton will have a grand opening ceremony at 2 p.m. Thursday.
The visitor center also is featured in a new video from the DNR Division of Communications.
Sandhill cranes, whooping cranes, and white pelicans are among the migrating birds featured at Goose Pond in the video.
The 8,900-acre Goose Pond site opened in 2005 and draws about 12,000 wildlife watchers each year.
