(BLOOMINGTON) - The Lawrence County Police arrested a Bloomington man after his girlfriend accused him of rubbing his blood on her face on Sunday.
Police arrested 51-year-old Terry Trisler on charges of domestic battery, battery with a bodily fluid and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
According to Sheriff Mike Branham, at 9:56 a.m. Sunday, a man called police and reported that a woman came to his home in the 8900 block of U.S. 50 East saying her boyfriend was being abusive. Police say that on Saturday night at a home in the 9100 block of U.S. 50 East a woman alleged that Trisler shattered a glass and frame, cut himself with it and rubbed blood on her face. He also threatened to kill the woman, pulled her hair and grabbed her wrists, leaving visible bruises.
As the woman was talking to police, Trisler drove by in his Ford F-150. Police followed Trisler until he pulled into a driveway. He appeared intoxicated and police say his blood-alcohol content was 0.122 percent. He was arrested.
He posted a $505 cash bond Monday and was released.
