(SEYMOUR) - A report of suspicious activity Sunday evening in the parking lot of Walmart SuperCenter on Seymour’s east side led to the arrest of a man on a felony drug charge, police report.
Seymour police arrested 26-year-old Dustin Vires, of Coatesville on a Level 3 felony charge of possession of meth and a Class C misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a news release from Seymour Police Department, Vires was arrested by Seymour Officer Jim Handley and Cpl. Devin Cornwell after they were called to the store at 1600 E. Tipton Street after receiving a call at 7:10 p.m. from a concerned citizen about possible drug activity in the parking lot.
Upon arriving in the area, Handley conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for an alleged traffic violation as it attempted to leave the area.
During the course of his investigation, Handley discovered crystal meth and other drug paraphernalia.
Vires was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown on Sunday evening and was being held without bond pending his initial hearing.
