(MEROM) - Indiana Conservation Officers located the body of 56-year-old Ken Jones of Shelbyville, IL in Turtle Creek Reservoir Monday night.
Jones's wife contacted the Sullivan County Sheriff's Dispatch at 5:52 p.m. reporting she was concerned that her husband had not returned from work. Jones was an employee of GE Betz and had been working at Hoosier Energy - Merom Generating Station.
Hoosier Energy employees located Jones's truck and tools near the hot-water discharge which flows from the generating station into the reservoir. They suspected he may be in the water and requested assistance from law enforcement.
Indiana Conservation Officers conducted a boat search of the water surface and a sonar search of the lake bed before locating Jones body.
Indiana Conservation Officers will be investigating the incident.
Assisting agencies : Sullivan County Sheriff's Department, Gill Township Fire Department, Sullivan County Ambulance Team, Hoosier Energy employees.
