Z102 Persimmon Idol Winner To Be Named Saturday

(MITCHELL) - On Saturday, the winner of Persimmon Idol will take home a grand prize package and help cap off the week long Persimmon Festival.

We welcome you to bring your friends and family to come cheer on your favorite performer.

This years contest will feature two age divisions: YOUTH (10-17) and ADULT (ages 18 and up).

During the preliminary round these singing stars shined and will now perform on Mitchell's Main State on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. following the parade.

Youth Division Preliminary Round Finalists:

• Jaida Blais of Campbellsburg
• Faith Dees of La Grange, KY
• Abigail Kuester and Gabrielle Maldonoldo of Bedford
• Kylee Santiago of Bedford

Adult Division Preliminary Round Finalists:

• Amanda Bockting of Mitchell
• Chris Bockting of Mitchell
• Brittany Hughett of Mitchell
• Troy King of Bedford

Judges for the competition will be Dawn Keller and Carmen Cavezza.

The Persimmon Idol winner from each division (youth and adult) will win the following GRAND PRIZE PACKAGE:

• Persimmon Idol trophy
• Z102 tee
• $100 cash prize
• Guest appearances on Homespun Edge which airs on Fridays at 5 p.m. on Z102 102.5 WPHZ.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event and cheer on their favorite performers.
