(MITCHELL) - Three people were injured after at State Road 37 and Main Street Wednesday afternoon.
According to a Mitchell Police report, Nicoleta Thomas was flown by medical helicopter to a Louisville hospital.
76-year-old Rolla A. Thomas of Mitchell suffered bleeding to his upper arm and 24-year-old Ethan Meadows complained of stomach and pelvic pain. Both were taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital.
According to police, Rolla Thomas was traveling south on Ind. 37 in his 2011 Buick with Nicoleta Thomas as his passenger.
Meadows was traveling north on Ind. 37 in a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer, through a green light when Thomas' vehicle turned in front of his in an attempt to travel east on Main Street.
Two witnesses agreed Thomas turned in front of Meadows.
Thomas told police he could not remember what happened.
Assisting at the scene was an IU Health ambulance, Marion and Mitchell Volunteer Fire Departments and Bedford Fire Department extrication unit.
