(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured in an accident on Ind. 37 near 35th Street on Monday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, 57-year-old Bryan White, of 2101 Park Ave., was traveling south on Ind. 37 and for an unknown reason drove his 1994 Ford Ranger into the median. The pickup traveled 331 feet in the median and then entered the northbound lane and struck a 2011 Ford F-150 driven by 73-year-old Ralph Sharpe head-on.
White was conscious at the scene, but told police he could not remember what happened and he didn't remember leaving his home.
White, who suffered internal injuries, was flown by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital. Police obtained a warrant for a blood-alcohol draw.
Sharpe, of 1015 Vinegar Hill Rd., complained of chest pain and was taken to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for a blood draw.
The results from both test are pending.
