(BEDFORD) - Two women were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of I and 17th streets Wednesday morning.
According to a Bedford Police report, 55-year-old Cindy Vash of Mitchell had stopped at the stop sign at I Street and told police because of the bright sunlight she couldn't see well and she didn't see the approaching westbound Ford Focus on 17th Street.
Vash pulled her 2012 Chrysler into the path of 28-year-old Rachel Jones' car. The impact pushed Jones' car into a safety pole.
Vash complained of neck pain and Jones suffered hip and lower leg pain. Both women were treated at the scene by an IU Health Hospital crew, but refused to be transported to the hospital.
