(WESTGATE@CRANE) - WestGate@Crane College Fair 2016 is a month away and already has more than 1,000 regional students registered to participate this fall. If the projected numbers are true, the fourth annual college fair, held on October 4, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. will be the most attended WestGate@Crane College Fair on record. Registration is still open for both students and colleges and universities to participate.
Organizer Alex Jackson has been involved since the first fair and says in four short years, these numbers are staggering.
"It is so exciting to watch this college fair grow these past four years. Every year it seems more and more students attend. The best feeling is being able to see the look on students faces when winners receive the funds to further their education."
Three scholarships amounting to $3,000 will be given away at the fair to winning students who apply.
Twenty-two colleges and universities from Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky have registered so far to have informational booths. If a college, university, or military branch is interested in registering, it's only $50 a booth. That is $100 less expensive than last year, making this year's fair very affordable.
Please register for the fair before September 23, 2016. The scholarship application deadline is September 23, 2016, as well.
