(BLOOMINGTON) - A woman was arrested after she allegedly tried to take a snake into Upstairs Pub Saturday night.
Officers were called to the pub at 430 East Kirkwood Avenue at 9:14 p.m.
According to police, 21-year-old Liberty Flora of Knox was attempting to enter the pub with a snake in her purse and began fighting with security staff when they wouldn't let her enter with the reptile. Police were called after Flora refused to leave.
When police arrived Flora would not cooperate and officers placed her in handcuffs. That is when she spit on one of the officers.
Flora was arrested on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement and a felony battery charge.
Flora was booked into Monroe County Jail and is being held on a $2,000 surety, $500 cash bond.
Animal control was called and took possession of the snake.
