(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police continued to search for two suspects from two different robberies that occurred Sunday evening.
The first robbery happened at about 6:30 p.m. at the Speedway gas station at 2700 North Walnut Street.
Police responded after receiving an active holdup alarm. Police say the robber waited in line behind customers and when it was his turn, approached the gas station clerk and handed them a note demanding money. The robber did not display a weapon.
The clerk described the robber as a white man with curly hair and light facial hair, wearing an oversized gray sweatshirt.
The second robbery was reported at 8:20 p.m. Sunday, when police were called to a robbery at Cresent Donut at 231 South Adams St.
An employee told police they were alone in the shop and counting money in a back office when a man armed with a handgun entered and demanded the cash.
The employee described the robbery as being around a 6-foot-tall, black man with facial hair, wearing blue jogging pants and a blue hooded sweatshirt.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department at (812) 339-4477.
