(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County taxpayers are urged to mail their fall property tax payments early.
Fall taxes are due November 10.
The mailed payment has to be postmarked on the 10th to avoid a late penalty.
Current tax information may be found online at www.lawrencetax.net or http://lawrencein.egis.39dn.com/#.
Please remember the Lawrence County Courthouse has a security screening process and you must enter through the north doors.
Properties three or more installments in arrears will be certified for a Tax Sale, the property must be paid current to remove the property from the Tax Sale list.
Questions regarding your assessment should be directed to the Assessor's Office at (812) 275-5405; regarding your tax rate, exemptions or deductions to the Auditor's Office at (812) 275-3111 or regarding your tax payment to the Treasurer's Office at (812) 275-2431.
