(BLOOMFIELD) - The Greene County Master Gardeners awarded college scholarships to two Bloomfield students.
The scholarships are awarded to students going to college in agriculture or horticulture related fields.
This year the Master Gardeners awarded two $500 scholarships to two girls:
Clair was a member of Thunderbird National Honor Society and Eastern marching band and pep band and was a Hoosier Girls State delegate. She is attending Indiana University with plans to pursue a career in plant pathology or forest maintenance.
Cyndel was a member of National Honor Society, FFA, 10-year member in 4-H holding several officer positions and participated in track and field. She is attending Purdue University with goal of a career as agriculture teacher or county extension agent.
Scholarships are awarded to students who are graduating from high school or already attending college.
