(BEDFORD) - 2-1-1 connected 74 contacts with 241 referrals during the 3rd quarter of 2016. Utility Assistance was the highest request.
Individuals trying to meet their most Basic Needs were the highest requests that the 2-1-1 Service received during the 3rd Quarter.
Utility Assistance and Housing were the most frequent requests tying at (26%), followed by requests for Health Care (15%), and Food/Meals (13%) rounding out the top 3.
There were 16 Unmet Needs for the quarter. The majority of Unmet Needs were Housing requests at 8 Unmet Services.
Most of the Unmet Services resulted from the caller not being eligible.
Texting service added
2-1-1 has added another way for people to connect with us. People who need resources and don't want to call 2-1-1 or use our online database (www.referweb.net/uwbc) can now TEXT 898-211 and receive resources via text message. The service began in September and has been going well.
